1Start from a template
Open Workspace → Automations. The “Start from a template” list holds ready-made workflows — new lead notifies sales, invoice paid emails finance, a completed task notifies project managers, a leave request notifies HR. Choose Add and adjust.

2Three to switch on first
- New lead → notify the owner, so no enquiry waits
- Invoice paid → email finance, so receipts and the ledger are never forgotten
- Leave requested → notify HR or the manager, so approvals move
3Trigger, condition, action
Every workflow has a trigger (what happened), optional conditions (only when it matters) and actions (notify, email, call a signed webhook). Switch a workflow off without deleting it, and use the run history to see what happened and why.
4Stay in control
Use approvals and notifications rather than automatic changes wherever a person should decide — especially for money and customer messages.
